Hawk started his singing career with Soul Fruit which included his brother. Soul Fruit and Hawk parted ways in 2002.
In 2003, Hawk started recording with C-Quential Records based out of Florida. Here he recorded tracks with the labels leading artist J-Mo now known as John Weseley. While on C-Quential Records Hawk was able to build a relationship with 365 Records, and do some collaborations with them. C-Quential Records came apart due to long distances.
Hawk then moved to Wyoming. Here Hawk entered and placed 2nd in the Dallas Songwriters Song From the Soul of Service with the song Yeah Yeah. He has helped form the hip-hop group Hood Poets and is 1/3rd of the group. While being part of the group Hawk keeps his R&B solo career intact.
